DescriptionConference paper written by J. Lin, great-granddaughter of Zhan Aimei. The paper was presented at 'Christian Women in Chinese Society: The Anglican Story', Chinese University of Hong Kong Academic Conference, 26-27 June 2015.

In telling the story of her great-grandmother's life, the author reflects on the impact on Zhan Aimei and her family of the influx of Anglican women missionaries in the 19th century, including those who went out to China with the Church Mission Society, Church of England Zenana Missionary Society (CEZMS) and the Female Education Society (FES).
