| Administrative History | Florence Instone Deed (1868-1958) served as a CMS missionary in Kenya, (List II no.266) first in Rabai and later in Kaloleni for more than forty years. She translated parts of the Bible into Giryama and compiled a Giryama-English dictionary over the course of her career which was published after her death. She was awarded an MBE in the Coronation Honours 1953.
