Administrative HistoryRev. Frank Burness Hadow (1874-1941), after his ordination, began work for the CMS as Secretary for CMS work among the young. In 1905 he was invited to become a missionary and on his arrival in Sudan later the same year he began this journal. Together with John Comely, Edmund Lloyd, Archibald Shaw and Arthur Thom he was part of and temporarily lead the pioneering party of missionaries to the Sudan. He was later transferred to the Egypt mission and undertook language study in Old Cairo. He resigned in 1909. He was married in 1907 to Una Ethelwyn Durrant.
