Administrative HistoryRev Arthur Ismay Birkett (List I 1058) was accepted as CMS missionary in 1887 and was sent to North India, firstly to Lucknow and later to the mission at Bhil. In 1899 he married Jane Louisa Jarrett Haskew who went to India as doctor in charge at Lusadia with Zenana Bible and Medical Mission. In 1916 he was drowned while crossing a swollen river near Lusadia.
