Administrative History | Rev. William Walton (1890-1980) was ordained in 1914 and the following year was accepted as a CMS missionary. He was appointed to the Hiroshima mission in central Japan where he was chiefly concerned with the development of newspaper evangelism. He continued this work after his transfer in 1923 to Tokyo until his resignation in 1933. In 1934 he became a member of the Far East Committee. He was the author of 'Japan and Christ', CMS 1928.
