Administrative HistoryAs a colonial administrator in Africa, Martin Parr was Governor of three provinces in Southern Sudan from 1935 to 1943 which brought him into close contact with CMS a connection which continued throughout his career until 1971. He was a member of the CMS Africa Committee 1945-1967; a member of the CMS Executive Committee 1953-1970 and Committee Chairman 1956-1970.
