Administrative History | Dr Elfrida Whidborne (1900-1965) began her missionary career in 1929 working in the Omdurman Hospital in Northern Sudan specialising in infant welfare. She also worked in the Nuba Mountains area and Salara. She resigned in 1949 on her marriage to Alfred Morris Gelsthorpe, bishop of Egypt and the Sudan. |
