Administrative History | Miss Hope Elphinstone Junor (1897-1992) was a missionary with the CMS from 1930-1952 firstly on the staff at Unity High School, Khartoum 1931-1948 and then at Wad Medani Girls' School where she was headmistress 1951-1959. Although the school was founded in 1912 it was adopted by CMS in 1919 and staffed by CMS until 1953 when it was taken over by The American Presbyterian mission. Miss Junor stayed on at the school until after the CMS had ended the Society's official connection with it. Source: Information supplied by CMS Archivist |
