Administrative HistoryHarriet Sara Menge was the first wife of Charles Caesar Menge (List I No.223), a CMS missionary in India, originally from Hanau, Hesse. After their marriage in 1840 they both returned to Nasik, Bombay to continue his work. In 1844 Harriet died at sea on another voyage.
Custodial HistoryDeposited with the CMS in September 1983 and transferred to the Special Collections Department in July 2003
