DescriptionA collection of photographs which belonged to Mary Alice Thompson, a CMS missionary based at Mid-China Mission. The photographs are mounted in one large album with ornate binding, possibly made of bamboo and three small albums bound in green silk. The albums are paginated and many of the photographs are captioned. They show scenes from daily life in China and Miss Thompson's missionary colleagues and their work in and around the mission station.

Administrative HistoryMary Alice Thompson (1856/7-1936) was accepted as an honorary missionary in 1892. She was located to the Mid China Mission, Szechwan where she served until 1900. She resigned from the CMS in 1906.
