Administrative HistoryRobert William Ryde (d 1909 List 1 1369) of Brockley, South East London, was accepted by CMS as a missionary for Ceylon in 1894. He was appointed to Trinity College Kandy and later to St John's College Jaffna but returned to Trinity College to become principal in 1900. In 1897 he married fellow CMS missionary, Emily Margaret Loveridge (List II 335).
