Administrative History | James Kibuka Miti Kabazzi was a page to the Kabaka when H. M. Stanley arrived at the court in 1875 and became a reader under Mackay. After the formation of the British East Africa Company he was appointed official Swahili interpreter and from 1897 was the leading figure among a group of selected Ganda chiefs employed in bringing Bunyoro administrative methods into line with those of the Buganda kingdom. He retired in 1928 and began to write his book. |
