Description	These papers relate to Bishop John Mort's period in office as Bishop of Northern Nigeria and consist of minutes, reports and other papers relating to the CMS Northern Nigeria Mission Conference 1954-1964 and copies of the controversial report to the CMS Executive Committee October 1962 by Rev John Vernon Taylor, the CMS Africa Secretary of his visit to West Africa and related correspondence. Also included is a cutting from the Church Times 1964 relating to an article written by Canon John Taylor on the subject of the amalgamation of missionary and voluntary agencies.
