Administrative HistoryCanon John Harwood served as a CMS missionary overseas in Umuahia, Nigeria (1957-1962) and Freetown, Sierra Leone (1964-1966) and for a time in 1963 he was on the CMS Headquarters staff at Liskeard Lodge. On his return from Africa he served as Secretary to the Lectures Committee and was a member of the Overseas Service Group and on the Selection and Recruitment Advisory Group. As a youth leader with the Sailing Camps he was the Commodore of sailing and director of sailing instruction.
