DescriptionPapers consisting mainly of material used by Constance Old in her deputational work for the CMS including printed material relating to Pakistan, Nepal and Sikhism, photographs and a CMS poster as well as her own notes for talks given to local church groups. PART OF THIS COLLECTION HAS BEEN RETAINED BY THE CMS AND SO IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR CONSULTATION AT THE CADBURY RESEARCH LIBRARY. IT IS CURRENTLY HELD AT THE CROWTHER CENTRE FOR MISSION EDUCATION AT CMS IN OXFORD AND ENQUIRIES ABOUT ACCESS SHOULD BE MADE TO THE CMS ARCHIVIST, KEN OSBORNE (ken.osborne@cms-uk.org; Tel: 01865787553).

Administrative HistoryConstance Nellie Old (1911-1995) served as a CMS nursing missionary from 1947 to 1971. Her work in Pakistan from 1957 took her to Gojra 1957-1960, Narowal 1962-1965, Rawalpindi 1967-1968, Lahore 1969-1971. In March 1971 she travelled to Nepal to attend an Executive Committee meeting of the the United Mission to Nepal and see the missionary work carried out there.
