TitleCorrespondence between Rex Wyatt and Don Parker
Extent1 folder
DescriptionLetters written, mainly, Don Parker to Rex Wyatt before their marriage, 2 September 1940 to 13 March 1941

With the exception of the first, these letters were written by Don Parker, who was working at a CMS bride school at Abayi Umuochan, some distance from Port Harcourt in Nigeria, to Rex Wyatt, who was working at the CMS Bookshop in Lagos. They give vivid glimpses of the life of two missionaries, her and Dorothy Brooker, working in an isolated location, some of their religious and secular preoccupations, and travel and health hazards. There are 38 of these letters, many of them written in installments. The first letter is from Rex Wyatt to Don Parker
