Administrative History | Annie Beatrice Glass of Whickham, Durham and Newnham College Cambridge was Lady Travelling Secretary of the Student Volunteer Missionary Union before being accepted as a missionary by the CMS and sent out to Uganda in 1900. In 1901 she married fellow missionary Alexander Gordon Fraser. They had to leave Africa in 1904 due to her health and Fraser resigned but was reaccepted later that year and the couple were sent to Ceylon where her husband became Principal of Trinity College, Kandy.

Custodial History | This notebook was originally part of the Student Christian Movement archive, presumably because of Miss Glass's connection with the SVMU. Around 2009 it became displaced from its original position within that archive. As it was not possible to return it to its original position and because of the CMS connection it has been catalogued as a separate item with the CMS Unofficial Papers. |
