/1 Written from Aintab, describing his experiences of deportation and imprisonment during the First World War, 17 December 1918; /2 thanks Rendel Harris for his letter, 'the first letter I got from England after about four years of silence', he has organized and started teaching schools in Aintab, has been preaching in the church, is starting a paper and a YMCA, is hoping to visit Woodbrooke in April or September 1920. Araxia Jebejian was imprisoned in Derzor, and since then there has been no news from her, 3 March 1919; /3 Letter to James Rendel Harris from JE Merrill, telling him about Lootfy Levonian's work in schools and for the church, 6 March 1919; /4 'We have been waiting here for Dr Barton to come and to plan for New Missionary and Relief work in Aintab' and he is hoping to set out for England in April, 15 March 1919; /5 Letter from Lootfy Levonian to Mr Marshall Fox, discussing arrangements for travelling to England to visit Rendel Harris, 23 March 1919; /6 confirms that Araxia Jebejian is dead, 13 April 1919; /7 Letter to Marshal Fox saying he will wait to set off to England until he is sure he will be able to get there, 17 April 1919; /8 Letter to Rendel Harris telling him that he will wait until he is sure he can get to England before he leaves Aintab, he is working as an adviser to the American Red Cross Commission rebuilding ruined houses, thousands of Armenians are flowing back into the city, 4 May 1919; /10 Rev Gentle-Cackett has visited Aintab and Lootfy gave him a tour, 13 June 1919; /11 Rev Gentle-Cackett has told him that it is safe to travel to England via Constantinople, 13 June 1919; /12 Letter to Rendel Harris from EC Woodley, written from Dauville, Canada - he has been given a letter from Rendel Harris enquiring after Araxia Jebejian and he has heard that she is still alive, 12 September 1919; /13-/25 written from Woodbrooke College during a year's stay there, 9 October 1919-8 December 1920
