Description | Letters to James Rendel Harris from J. De Zwaan written from Leiden and Groningen, Holland. Zwaan was former pupil at Woodbrooke, where James Rendel Harris was Director of Studies from 1903-1915, and subsequently taught New Testament Studies at the University of Leiden. The letters concern his collaboration with Rendel Harris on the publication of an editorial edition of the Syriac of "Jacob Bar Salibi" in 1906 and include requests for advice on research techniques and assistance in publishing his research. Two letters also refer to reunions of Woodbrooke students in Leiden in 1919 and 1921.
