Administrative HistoryThe work of the Diocese of Korea was funded by the Korean Mission and through funds made available by the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel (SPG). Korean Mission funds comprised contributions made to the Mission's General Purposes Fund, and contributions made to specific objects such as the work of the orphanages, theological college or the Society of the Holy Cross. SPG funds comprised a Block Grant made to the Diocese of Korea from the Society's General Fund, and contributions to the Society 'earmarked' specifically for work in Korea.

The Partnership Scheme, operated by the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel (SPG), began in 1950 as the result of a plan propounded by Bishop Roberts at the time of the Lambeth Conference in 1948. Members included diocesan associations, represented by co-opted members on one of the Society's sub-committees: the Africa Sub-Committee, India Sub-Committee and Far-East Sub-Committee. The Korean Mission was represented on the Far-East Sub-Committee. Conversely the SPG was represented on committees of member organisations. The interchange of representatives was intended to facilitate cooperation in overseas missionary work. Dioceses entering into the Partnership Scheme were required to send to the Society annually, when application was made for grants, a composite budget. One copy was sent to the diocesan association and the other was considered by committees of the SPG when budgets were being prepared. Regional conferences were also held by the SPG to discuss areas of common concern and policy. The Korean Mission was represented on the Far East Regional Conferences.
