| Description | Index of orphans, including photographs. Index cards vary in detail but can record name and reference number, date of birth, place of birth and information about parents where known, date of admittance to orphanage, date of baptism and confirmation, notes on education and exams, notes on personality, date of marriage. Where the individual has left the orphanage, a note is included giving details of where they have gone and what they are doing. Cards also list name and contact details of adopters. Separate cards indicate more precisely the type of support required for each individual, e.g. school fees, expenses for wedding, money for training or renting a room. |
