DescriptionCorrespondence, and copy correspondence of Lesslie Newbigin, telegrams, printed circular letters, photocopies and printed material relating to personal and professional matters including Church of South India (CSI) affairs and general matters concerning the Madura diocese including Newbigin's diocesan tours and council meetings, tours of America undertaken by Newbigin in 1957, and his vists to Germany, International Missionary Council (IMC) General Assemblies, and his attendance at the Committee of the Theological Education Fund. There is also correspondence to Newbigin from associates on his departure from Madurai, and on his acceptance of the position of General Sec of the IMC.

Correspondents include family members (mother, sisters Frances and Nancy, and Helen, his wife), professional colleagues and personal associates from throughout the world.
