Administrative HistoryThe Survey Applications Trust was set up for two purposes: to survey missionary work overseas and to promote the ideas of Roland Allen. The World Dominion Press was its publishing arm and its titles included the journal, World Dominion (which in 1958 combined with the Christian News-letter, published by Frontier), and the World Christian Handbook. A history of the Trust is described by Kenneth Grubb in a collection of papers, mostly about Roland Allen, and edited by David Paton under the title 'Reform of the Ministry'.

The Trust ceased to exist in 1981 - at a time when Canon David Paton was President - and the Church Studies Unit of the Grubb Institute of Behavioural Studies ( GIBS) was the recipient of the remaining funds
Custodial HistoryThis collection was deposited with the Selly Oak Colleges Library in 1981. It was then transferred to the Orchard Learning Resources Centre which was opened in 1997 following the merger of the Selly Oak Colleges Library and the Westhill College Library. In 2000, the custodianship of all archive collections held at the Orchard Learning Resources Centre was transferred to the University of Birmingham
