Description | Series of files comprising largely printed reviews of publications, press cuttings, and typescript notes summarising the contents of publications relating to African anthropology (African tribal societies and cultures, most especially the Bantu). In addition there is printed publicity ephemera for publications and a small amount of correspondence of Willoughby.
Printed extracts and cuttings are taken from national and international presses, and from journals including 'The Geographical Journal', 'The Times Literary Supplement', and 'The African Monthly'. Each file is accompanied by an index card which provides cross-reference details to reviews of associated publications in the series |
