DescriptionOne item is a Sakalava to English handwritten vocabulary notebook compiled by John T. Gordge. The first page reads 'John T. Gordge, Maintirano, Jan '31'. The notebook is arranged alphabetically like a dictionary.

The second item contains typed pieces of text, possibly poetry, in an unspecified language. However, some words are found in Gordge's Sakalava vocabulary notebook. This notebook in undated.
