DescriptionCorrespondence with John Bright MP on political matters, particularly relations within the Liberal Party. Although at the time of this correspondence John Bright was an MP for Birmingham his letters were mostly sent from his constituency home in Rochdale to George Dixon's home at 'The Dales' in Edgbaston, Birmingham and provide an insight into his conflict with the Liberal party leaders over foreign policy and later the question of Home Rule over which he left the party in 1886.
