DescriptionPhotographs (largely black & white) of New Shakespeare Company productions, at the Open Air Theatre and on tour. Also includes photographs of rehearsals, special events, cast members, views of the set and backstage areas.
ArrangementPhotographs for each production (or season) are housed in a separate file, and files are arranged in chronological order. Photographs from the 1960s-1980s have been labelled and numbered on the reverse by New Shakespeare Company staff, and typed lists of the images produced. Within each file photographs have been retained in this original order, although there are gaps in the sequence. Large Photographs have been arranged in a separate sequence for ease of storage, series ref. DSH1/11/2. See also Contact Sheets and Negatives, series ref.
