| Administrative History | The School of Night comprise a group of actors and improvisers originally brought together by the actor Ken Campbell (1941-2008). The School of Night's performances feature improvisation in the style of poets and playwrights suggested by the audience.
The group's name is based on some scholars' belief that in the 16th century, the 'School Of Night' was an arcane, underground sect of artists, thinkers, writers, scientists and spies, who wrote Shakespeare’s plays.
