| Description | Maria came to live with her aunt in c 1855 so this undated letter, written from The Knoll on her aunt's behalf, can be dated to the late 1850s. She sends him two copies of a pamphlet just arrived from Smith & Elder, the publishers, and she also makes reference to copies sent to Graves's brother [Charles Graves]. It is possible that the publication to which this letter refers is one of a number of articles she wrote on the endowed schools of Ireland in 1858 |
