Thanks Mr Blakely for a gift of perfume, sent via her cousin Miss Martineau: 'In the sinking-fits which take place in heart disease, nothing is more essential than bathing the head with eau de Cologne; & thus you could have sent me nothing more welcome...' The letter also discusses her choice of a shawl from the selection brought by Miss Martineau, and payment for this. The original envelope is included.
