DescriptionShe advises him that one of her former servants, Fulcher, who has been employed by Dr. Davy, is blind in one eye. Although it is not her business she is concerned that his work may involve driving a carriage although with everything else the Davys will expect him to do - '(4 horses, two carriages & a cart, a cow, the poultry yard, a large kitchen garden & the care of 9 acres of land') - he may never be required to drive. She ends with a discussion about the reporting by the 'Daily News' of the current political situation. With envelope addressed to Dove Nest with postmarks of 4 & 5 May 1859
