DescriptionHe writes on 27 March from 35 Gordon Square [London] WC to thank Mrs Hollins for two donations 'to instruments of social good' with which he has been entrusted and notes that he will be 'delighted to cheer the hearts of the two Treasurers by handing to them your noble gifts'. One of the recipients appears to be the Portland Board Schools which he writes had received a 'most encouraging report'; and he also refers to a favourable notice in the Manchester Guardian of the 'so-called "Elsmere Hall" design'
