Miscellaneous, 1881-89, B. Personal, D. Colonial, Indian and Foreign, K. Ireland, and Z. Miscellaneous, 1889-1892; the remainder of the volume serves as an alphabetical finding aid to this sequence of correspondence; the correspondence itself is very incomplete, with letters surviving for only five of the subject categories; the surviving correspondence has been arranged by the contemporary subject organisation and each letter bears the contemporary letter code and number
