DescriptionLetter written from Highbury, Moor Green, Birmingham dated 9 September. Chamberlain writes to Lady Dorothy [1826-1913] declining to join another club. He writes 'not even my devotion to the Union will induce me to join [...] I hardly ever go to a Club as the bores who infest them spoil my temper.' He adds that he is soon to leave for the Continent for at least two months, during which time he intends to forget all about politics.
