Description | Letter written from Highbury, Birmingham dated 15 November. Chamberlain writes that he is unsatisfied with the reply received from/through his correspondent and plans to speak to Lord Hartington. He comments on specifications governing manfacturers and the materials they use, writing: 'your brother [...] is issuing specifications by which he does not intend to be bound'. He points out that this is unfair and argues that if specifications are not to be strictly observed they should not be printed.
