He writes to thank Maycock for 'the French Report', and informs him that he will be going to Florence [with his wife, Mary] (14 October 1892); he also writes on his return from a trip to the Bahamas and informs Maycock that he will not be in town until Monday due to the amount of correspondence he has to clear (17 November 1893). In the final letter he writes to express his criticisms of the American press which has misquoted the price he paid for an order of orchids (9 December 1896) |
