Description
Letter written from Highbury, Birmingham dated 8 April and marked 'Quite confidential'. Chamberlain writes concerning naval matters in relation to conflict between America and Spain. He discusses the situation and comments: 'I am a warm advocate of the American alliance, and look forward to a combination of some sort of the Anglo-Saxon race as a security for the peace of the world' but argues that Britain should not get involved in the dispute.
