Description | Letter of thanks for sending a copy of his book, 'A year in a Lancashire garden' [published 1879] and makes reference to Chamberlain's genuine interest in horticulture: 'Mr Chamberlain is a grower of all kinds of flowers, & especially interested in what are known as perennials, including the common flowers of our cottage gardens'.
The date of the letter is a slight mystery: Bright died in the year before this letter was written |
