Title | Letter from Joseph Chamberlain, Southbourne, Augustus Road, Edgbaston to S. W. Richards, G[rea]t Hampton St Works, Birmingham 3 Nov[ember]. With envelope |
Extent | 1 item |
Date | 1876 |
Description | Replies to Richards' letter regarding the Birmingham School of Design. He writes that he is not able to 'give the time and thought necessary to the organisation of the School of Design' because of other commitments. He believes that the present chairman of the School will 'do all that is possible to achieve its usefulness'. Richards has suggested that the committee is backward, but Chamberlain writes that if this is the case, the subscribers will be able to 'secure a fitting representation'. |
