Extent1 item
Date1883
DescriptionLetter written from Prince's Gardens and dated 18 June 18 1883 . He writes 'Your County Court Judge seems to me to be deficient in the judicial mind. Otherwise he would at least have assured himself of the correctness of the report on which he commended before indulging in the statements to which you refer...the report is quite inaccurate...the remark actually made by me in the Bankruptcy Committee was that the reports of the Comptroller showed that many persons who had obtained the office of Trustee were little better than swindlers..'
