Description
Written to 'My Dear littel Miss Jerningham' while she was staying with her mother's family, the Dillons at Braywrick near Maidenhead, Berkshire. Hopes she enjoys her visit to Braywick and comments that the weather at Cossey has been nothing but rain; Edward is full of high spirits and a very good little boy.
A note in the original contents page of Volume 1 (see JER/1775) relating to this letter indicates that Mary Hatton was the nurse
