DescriptionLetter written by Joseph Priestley (1733-1804) on 18 January 1804 just two weeks before his death to his close friend Theophilus Lindsey (1723-1808), Unitarian minister and theologian. He writes to Lindsey regarding consignments of books written from Northumberland (Pennsylvania) and refers to the work he has recently completed on the 'comparison of the principles of the Grecian philosophers with those of revelation' which came to be known as 'Doctrines of Heathen Philosophy'.
