Addressed to Dear friend ['Cher ami' - possibly George Lovejoy], he asks after Miss Mildforth [?Miss Mitford]; recalls the correspondent's interest in his work in establishing a new career for the most wretched class of suffering humanity; recommends articles for Miss Mildforth about the Abendberg 'retreat' and asks that the correspondent encourages her to write to promote his work
