DescriptionLetter dated 5 September, thanking Loftus for a letter dated 21 July about central African affairs, which he also showed to Salisbury. He says they are close to reaching an agreement on boundaries in that part of the country, which though not a long term solution, has cross party support, and should ensure things are quiet for a while. [Currie, 1834-1906, was a British diplomat, he became Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs in 1889].
