TitleLetter from [Nathan] Drake to [Edward] Ash
Extent1 item
Date1790
DescriptionLetter written from Billericay, dated 4 August. Drake [1766-1836, essayist and physician] regrets that he is going to 'lose' Ash [1764-1829, physician (Ash was awarded a Radcliffe travelling fellowship in July 1790)]. Drake comments on his own 'unstable' life, his doubts about forming a practice in Billericay and the possibility of moving to Colchester. He wishes that 'the Speculator' could be hurried into a volume, and discusses printing, advertising and sales.
