He writes that he has not been able to change his appointment but hopes that it may be possible next term. He comments on his studies and impending examination, the outcome of which will determine 'the keeping or losing of your term' and potential appointments. He writes that he is required to remain at college for the results of the examination and will then come home. He enquires after family members.
