DescriptionLetter written from E. I. College [Hertfordshire] dated 28 January. Dickinson expresses his 'heartfelt sorrow' at the unexpected news of the death of Eliza and Wemyss's child, writing: 'instances such as these [...] make even the most unwary amongst us [...] look to the equal uncertainty of our own condition'. He enquires after Eliza and sends his sympathies. He goes on to say that he has spoken to Robertson about a parcel which is to be sent to his Aunt. He reports that Mr Eastwick's manservant has run away with money entrusted to him.
