DescriptionLetter written from E. I. College [Hertfordshire] dated 24 February. Dickinson expresses concern at the news of his mother's recent ill health. He writes about life at college, discussing his studies and complaining of stale smoke that enters his room from the floor below. He writes that college is quiet, commenting: 'the tastes of the present generation at this place seem to be very dissimilar from those of their predecessors'. He states that he is 'very well contented' with the monthly report and hopes that she is pleased with his performance.
