| Description | Letter written from E. I. College [Hertfordshire] dated 14 May. Dickinson describes his journey back to college and apologises for not having written sooner. He sends news of Mr Eastwick, writing: 'Some active measures at last appear to have been taken for supplying poor Eastwick with accommodations necessary for the conjugal state to wh[ich] his thoughts are at present directed'. He writes that the monthly report is due next week, reminding her that although he missed the Mathematics examination 'it matters nothing, and has no influence upon the 'Term Examination''. He asks about her visit to an exhibition and hopes that Mr Turner's party proved an agreeable one. |
