| Description | Undated letter addressed 'Sir'. Parr [1747-1825] acknowledges receipt of a letter and papers. He writes that he has drawn up an address which he hopes will satisfy the recipient and other friends of Mr Combe. He asks to be sent a fair transcript 'for the Purpose of avoiding Mistakes'.
With a handwritten note signed 'J.E.D.' in which the author identifies Mr Combe as Charles Combe (1743-1817, physician and numismatist), author of 'Index nummorum omnium imperatorum, Augustorum et Caesarum' and suggests that the letter was written prior to 1783. |
